"Window. Always!"
Holiday: sea or mountains? And where?
"I like the sea in summer and mountains in autumn and winter. So conventional! I love the cold water and white sand of Portuguese beaches in the Alentejo and Costa Vicentina. And every mountain is ok if it has a warm cabin, a fireplace and lots of wine and food ;)"
City or countryside? And where?
"Madrid is my city and my favorite one because of its blue sky, cool people and places and the nightlife.... I am an urbanite, yes, but I love to escape to my house in the countryside, in a remote village in the Douro Valley."
One thing we can always find in your luggage?
"Books. I never read on my iPad, so I always carry two or three heavy books. I know this is not the best way to avoid overweight baggage."
The most unexpected thing we can find in your luggage?
"Lots of Condé Nast Traveler magazine copies."
Morning or night person?
"I used to be a night person... but now, maybe because of age, I am more of a morning person..."

"In 15."

"Instagram."

"Coffee. Espresso or macchiato with cold milk."
The last time you had a good time with someone famous?
"Last summer in Pego Beach, Portugal. He doesn't know me... but I was really excited when I saw Philippe Starck dancing and laughing by my side in the Beach Club."
The last time you spent a nice moment with someone you love?
"Yesterday."
A special souvenir from a person you met during your travels?
"Many years ago, a man from Cambodia gave me a ring he made himself using a spoon. It was a present of gratitude because I lent my tablet to his son during a (endless) boat trip on the Mekong river."
The most beloved souvenir of a trip you have at home?
"An old edition of Breakfast of Champions by Kurt Vonnegut, which I bought in a bookshop in Bogotá."
Three things (or people) that you would bring with you to the moon?
"One person, one book and lots of red wine, coffee and jamón ibérico."
Sunscreen: 50 or 10?
"50, of course."
Perfume: a lot or just a few drops?
"A few drops of a citrus fragrance."
The last time you were in an art gallery/museum?
"Atelier Brancusi, Paris, a few months ago. A thrilling place, without a doubt."
Do you take taxis and talk to the driver? What topics do you talk about?
"Of course. Humans always need someone to talk about politics and weather with."
A movie you would always watch on a plane?
"My favorite one, Fahrenheit 451 by François Truffaut."
Which book do you have on your bedside table?
"A book of collected short stories by Somerset Maugham (in a Portuguese edition!)."
Motor yacht or sailboat?
"Sailboat. In the Amalfi Coast, please."
The last time you were swimming was?
"Yesterday, in a not very cool rooftop pool near my home."
